Week in Review From the CEO

Week in Review from the CEO This is Greg from Things To Do DC.

It has been an interested week in Washington D.C. We hosted lots of Things To Do in DC this past week. Of course, with the weather being so great on the final week of September a lot of us had the chance to explore the Washington Mall, participate in a charity race or beer festival, take part in a pickup basketball game, or just enjoy a nice leisurely day relaxing.

Last week, we hosted a very successful cultural evening at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ambassador Haris Hrle was very friendly and made sure to talk to all of the guests who attended.

On Friday, we hosted a margarita cruise down the Potomac River (a sold out cruise). The weather could not have been more perfect and the monuments were illuminated by the fantastic moonlight.

On Saturday, we had our final roof top nightclub tour of Washington D.C. for 2017. Though it tends to get colder by now, we may just have to sneak in an encore if the weather in D.C. stays so nice.

I am looking forward to the upcoming Halloween Season! We are beginning this Saturday with a Hayride and Bonfire at Butler’s Orchard.

Of course, in the coming weeks, we will have many haunted tours, scavenger hunts, trick or treating of the embassies, and of course, our annual Giant Halloween Party/Graveyard Jam at the Black Finn on October 28th. Last year was a massive sell out, with winning costumes representing the British Royal family, a DC Police Officer, and a ghostly unicorn.

We are looking forward to seeing you at one of our ThingstodoDC.com events.

Please write to me personally at [email protected] if you have any suggestions.
