Haunted Georgetown Walking Tour (with Oak Hill Cemetery Spook Walk)

Sun, October 15, 2017 @ 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM

Corner of 27th & Q Street, NW
washington, DC

Halloween is almost here!  But, in Georgetown the haunts start tonight!

Did you know that one of Washington’s most popular shopping and restaurant districts is also a haven for ghosts, monsters, and unsolved murder mysteries. Join our expert guide as we explore a very scary side of Georgetown.

We will start the tour at the beautiful and haunted Oak Hill Cemetery, where we will solve the mystery of the Tiffany-inspired angel in the Chapel window. From there we will go to other locales, like the mystery mansion with doors to nowhere and a previous owner who suggested being buried inside with a stake in his heart…the “ten o’clock ritual” at the old Foxhall mansion…perhaps we may even here the shuffling of feet, an occasional sob, or the horriffic crack of a whip outside a row of shops on Wisconsin Avenue…

The tour will conclude at the famous “Exorcist” steps, where we will learn what really happened, and what really happens during this ordeal, and why the “Office of the Rite of Exorcism” is so carefully guarded by the Catholic Church.

An optional reception with a cash bar will be offered after the tour in Georgetown

Suggested Attire:
Dress comfortably. Tour goes rain, shine, or even if there is a full moon.
