Ever drive past that interesting structure on Massachusetts Avenue with curiosity? Well, today is your opportunity to get a private and special “behind the scenes” tour as we have arranged a private guide and lecture about the center.
The Islamic Center is the largest and most widely known Mosque in Washington D.C. It is located in near proximity to many Muslim embassies whose ambassadors and diplomats frequent the Mosque often.
Our guide will familiarize us with the basic principles of Islam as well as how that translates into the architecture of the building.
Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
NOTE: This is not a tour meant to promote one particular religion over another. It is meant to be a cultural and educational tour. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.
Suggested Attire
Required Attire: Women attending must bring something to cover their heads if they wish to visit the mosque, and all must remove their shoes upon entering inside. Everyone must wear long pants or long skirts and arms must be cover up to the wrists
