Tonight, multiple live virtual guides take us on an exclusive virtual tour that studies the Titanic Cruise liner and its fate from unique multiple different perspectives.
Begin with a tour of the ship itself, from its grand staircase, dining room, staterooms, different decks, and the bridge. Learn about the lives of many of the rich and famous passengers, as well as the captain and crew.
We will continue with the boarding of the Titanic with a tour of the ports of South Hampton – the last stop before its expected destination of New York City
Then, join an expert Glaciologist who will virtually take us into the waters where Icebergs formed and ultimately doomed the ship. He will explain where and why they form and what brought about the surprise and ultimate destruction of the ship.
Our guides will continue with the story of the sinking of the ship, the rescue of the passengers, and the consequences.
Finally, we will learn about the discovery of the Titanic ruins in the late 20th Century leading to many expeditions and even an Oscar Winner Blockbuster.
Note: Our live guides will be using photos, art (and perhaps other media) during the tour. They will cover the history and modern significance of each location we visit.)
Note: All Zoom links to attend the tour will be sent 30 minutes before the event (to the email you register with).
