Our guide, from Bolivia, will take us on a special tour of the Valle de La Lun
Valle de la Luna is situated about 10 kilometers from downtown La Paz, in the Pedro Domingo Murillo Province, La Paz Department, Bolivia. It consists of an area where erosion has worn away the majority of a mountain, composed primarily of clay rather than rock, leaving tall spires.
Our virtual hike leads to some spectacular views of this mysterious and wild place that’s full of secrets. Named in 1969 (apparently from a post Moonwalk visit by Neil Armstrong), we will hear about its natural history, the customs of Bolivian tribes and inhabitants of the area, as well as come face to face with local wildlife and natural progression.
ABOUT THE GUIDE: RENAN IBAÑEZ has been leading this popular tour for over 20 years. He has deep contacts with the native people of his country, which makes him a perfect host to Bolivia.
