Sun, September 25, 2022 @ 11:00AM To Sun, September 25, 2022 @ 12:30PM
Berlin has been the center of Germany and the focal point of many controversial world events throughout much of its modern history. Today, after decades of turmoil and division, it is a thriving 21st Century metropolis.
Join live virtual guides as we tour this amazing city and explore its history through modern sites. Our guides will first visit a post-WW2 Berlin, controlled by four different powers, causing the eventual Berlin Wall. Compare East and West Berlin during a divided and dark period in Cold War History. Then, see the transformation of East Berlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall and unification to a point where many believe surpasses the growth of the West.
Virtual stops include the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Check Point Charlie, the Berlin television tower, Gendarmenmarkt, Museum Island, the New Synagogue (and its turbulent history over the past 100 years), and much more!
Note: All Zoom links to attend the tour will be sent 30 minutes before the event (to the email you register with.
